The proposal is for the interior restructuring of a studio apartment for a young production designer, located in the trendy area of Bandra, Mumbai. 

With the space being restrictive, we had to address key concerns, including storage and the flexibility to accommodate company. It was important that the studio could offer different experiences despite its restricted size.

The entry door was repositioned to create a storage-heavy, low-rise, narrow hallway that leads to an expansive living hall with unhindered views. The space is intended to be a light-filled respite from the dark sets the client works in. The sleeping space is a den with adjustable, vertical louvered panels helping to create an open or cloistered space. The louvered panels and windows are also a nod to the window shutters of heritage bungalows in the area.

The natural material choices and subdued color palette create a zen atmosphere in all the spaces within the studio apartment.
