The cafeteria is for the students of the historic Ram Chellaram College located in the CBD district of Bangalore city. 

The cafeteria being the backdrop of activity and collective memories for the students, it was important to create informal and organic spaces for gathering. The continuous running sunshade is a reference to the stone shade overhang on the historic blocks in the campus and the raised plinth is to allow for the genesis of these spaces.

Clarity of the program and the corresponding layout of the spaces was of paramount importance in order to achieve a seamless flow of the hectic activities of the canteen and to ensure accessibility to all.
